Job Description:

We are seeking for a qualified and enthusiastic Bahasa Melayu Teacher to join our school. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Bahasa Melayu language and culture, as well as experience teaching students of diverse backgrounds and abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the subject coordinator to strategize and dissect the curriculum into annual, semesterly, monthly, and weekly segments.
  • Teach and execute lessons in alignment with the designated lesson plans and syllabus, adhering to the daily, weekly, monthly, semesterly, and yearly schedules.
  • Incorporate and instil Islamic values relevant to students' daily lives as Muslims throughout all lessons.
  • Establish subject corners within the dedicated classrooms.
  • Prepare teaching aids/materials and ensure the materials are well maintained.
  • Gather all teaching/reference materials requested by the academic administrator at the onset of the school term.
  • Prepare and distribute sufficient worksheets and exercises while providing guidance to students in their daily tasks.
  • Review and grade students' work promptly, correcting any errors, and return it immediately after assessment.
  • Submit students' workbooks to the subject coordinator on a triannual basis.
  • Conduct monthly topical tests to students, recording their scores in the Teacher's Record Book.
  • Prepare examination papers and submit to subject coordinators for review and approval.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in teaching methodologies and continuously enhance teaching effectiveness.
  • Engage actively in the Academic Excellence Program relevant to the respective level.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Bahasa/Kesusateraan Melayu, Education or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu language (native fluency).
  • Previous experience teaching Bahasa Melayu language.
  • Strong understanding of language teaching methodologies and instructional strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
