  • Provide effective, efficient & timely technological support to the site with respect to troubleshooting, optimization, and safe operation.
  • Monitor area of coverage performance against approved targets on a day-to-day basis, identifying existing or potential technical problems and respond accordingly to threats.
  • Identify and implement specific projects to improve the safety, reliability, integrity, efficiency, operability, capacity in oil movement.
  • Lead/participate in providing necessary input into incident investigations and problem solving.
  • Provide a direct interface between HRC PD Technology and Operations/Engineering to facilitate implementation of Plant Changes including best practices.
  • Participate in PSA study and & timely implement PSA recommendations.
  • Take on the role of Technology Department’s oil loss focal point, working closely with other relevant technologists and the site oil loss team to drive systematic improvement of HRC’s oil loss performance to ensure it is within target.
  • Coach and mentor, the activities of graduate and junior technologists within his/her area to build competencies and review their deliverables for completeness and technical quality.
  • Lead effective execution and assurance of the Ensure Quality Product (EQP) site work process
    • Embed HRC product quality policies and standards into site work processes and management system.
    • Proactively identify and implement improvements to site product quality management systems and procedures.
    • Drive PQ investigations, taking corrective action for PQ incidents that fall within the site, and embed learnings into the organization
    • Ensure critical review and improvement of local PQ practices, specifically driving gap closure to the Ensure Quality Products Standard HMS-2010001-ST.
    • Validate that key product release work processes, practices, procedures, and policies (product release protocol) are effective.
    • Ensure that the product quality sample / testing schedule becomes a controlled document that requires a management of change completed before improvements can be implemented. This applies to both finished products and intermediate streams.

    Review and sign off any change to the product release protocol, both permanent changes and temporary modifications via their site Management of Change (MOC) process.
