Sonographer Trainee

Sonographer-Trainee Programme
Shortlisted candidates shall undergo a 1-year Medical Ultrasonography academic/training programme at Vision College under scholarship (which includes a 5-year employment bond contract) while undergoing practical training at Vision Diagnostic Centre. Consider this 12-month period of being a Sonographer-Trainee as the starting chapter of your future as an ultrasound expert! Upon successful completion of the programme, you shall be awarded with an Advanced Diploma in Medical Ultrasonography qualification, which is MQA-accredited. By then, you'd have become a qualified Sonographer with the experience of over 500 ultrasound scans. Hospitals and diagnostic institutions around the country will be after the valuable sonography skills and knowledge that you have mastered.

How do I get employed after completing the programme under scholarship?
While undergoing the Medical Ultrasonography training, hospitals, medical centres and clinics would request to discuss with you about a potential employment upon your completion of studies. As agreement from all parties have been reached, your future employers shall take over your bond duration. Besides being a Sonographer, you may also opt to apply for other positions such as Sonographer Tutors/Trainers or Ultrasound Application Specialists at medical technology companies. Upon completion of the academic and training programme, Vision shall guarantee you a job position at the salary rate:

• RM2800 to RM3800 (under full scholarship & bonded arrangements)
• RM3500 to RM4500 (if you opt not to be bonded and self-fund your training)

NOTE: Scholarship candidates will NOT be paid any wages/allowances during the period of this 12-month academic & training programme.
Bumiputra candidates may opt for a separate government funding scheme which offers monthly allowances during the 12-month academic & training period (T&C apply).

This academic and training programme is consists of two parts:
1. Part 1 – Clinical Training
2. Part 2 – Academic lessons (Assessments and Examinations included)

Future Prospects
The demand for Sonographers in the healthcare industry is continuously increasing in demand. Hospitals and institutions around the world are constantly experiencing manpower shortage in the sonography department. We can include you in this manpower pool, and also link you up with these hospitals. Over the years, the Medical Ultrasonography graduates from Vision have started practising their professions abroad in Singapore, Australia, Brunei and the UK. Requirements:
• Candidate is required to be a holder of a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in

1. Medical Sciences/Technology;
2. Diagnostic Sciences/Technology (Medical Imaging/ Radiography);
3. Medicine or Medical Studies;
4. Nursing/Midwifery;
5. Biohealth, Biomedical Science/Technology;
6. Human Biology or Biological studies;
7. Nutrition or Dietetics;
8. Public Health
9. Medical Laboratory Technology
or any other equivalent disciplines in Healthcare or Health Sciences

• Fresh graduates or final-semester students are encouraged to apply
• Proficient in English language
• Required to have very good knowledge in Human Anatomy
• Malaysian nationality
