JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

  • Ensure that all applicable safety, health, and environmental legal and other requirements are met.
  • Monitor and oversee subcontractors' safety and health practices.
  • Conduct safety and health inspections.
  • Implement planned HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) programs for the project, including weekly HSE meetings, weekly safety talks, daily toolbox talks, and other HSE initiatives, to enhance safety awareness among project personnel.
  • Verify the sufficiency and proper maintenance of firefighting equipment, ensuring it is correctly positioned.
  • Display relevant signage and update the Safety Performance Board.
  • Ensure that all project work aligns with HSE policies and procedures.
  • Perform daily site inspections to ensure contractor compliance with HSE standards.
  • Assist Safety Officers, Project Managers, and Safety Personnel in daily workplace surveillance and completion of checklists (SOP FORMS), with your signature as a witness.
  • Identify, assess, and control hazards at the work site based on priority, maintaining safe operations.
  • Collaborate with the Supervisor, Project Manager, and project site personnel to prepare incident/accident reports and participate in investigations.
  • Engage with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and relevant government officials (e.g., DOSH, DOE, BOMBA, MOH & CIDB) to address and resolve health, safety, and environment concerns.
  • Fulfil any other safety and health duties assigned by Superiors or Management as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Applicants should hold at least a Diploma/Degree in Occupational Safety & Health Management or possess a Safety Certificate from approved authorities.
  • Applicants must be holders of the DOSH Yellow Book.
  • Experience to read C&S drawing and electrical drawing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the Health and Safety field (Construction Industry) is essential for this role.
  • Demonstrated supervisory skills would be a valuable asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications is required.
  • Essential skills include Occupational Safety & Health Management, Construction Management, etc.
  • Ability to apply risk assessment principles to company operations and activities.
  • Willingness to travel.
