Role Summary

Responsible for coordinating, executing, supervising the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) activities, at the customer’s sites, of the Solar Project Sites and Facilities sites (UPF) for its related Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) machinery equipment and associated systems by complying with the statutory, the health-safety-environmental (HSE) requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and implement the customers’ initial site visit by listing and surveying the Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) machinery equipment and associated systems of the customers’ Utilities plant or Facilities (UPF)
  • Coordinate, organize, collect the customers’ site UPF technical information for the M&E machinery equipment and associated systems within service scope such as: datasheets, utilities & electrical single line and Process and Instrumentation (PID) diagrams, floor plans, existing O&M records as well as the HSE, emergency and contingencies site procedures
  • Initiate, coordinate, control and contribute hands-on for the service quality delivery of the O&M team and/or subcontractors-suppliers service activities executed on the site UPF.
  • Organize, monitor and control the collection and insure proper update of historical records for the HSE performances, Solar generation data, measures and performances, for the O&M services activities and interventions, as well as KPI records by using the monitoring systems, Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) or any other required recording-reporting tools,
  • Keep abreast of the latest development in Solar PV O&M guidelines, statutory requirement and best practices developed by the ENGIE, relevant authorities (SEDA, etc)
  • Identify red flags / problems, respond to emergency calls, and develops corrective action plans, in liaison with the O&M Service Provider and direct superior

Additional tasks:

  • Conduct initial testing and commissioning and takeover of UPF installations
  • Perform daily routine and measure checks, operations activities as well as predictive, preventive maintenance interventions on the UPF
  • Assist in any customer complaints, breakdowns, faults & troubleshooting activities on the UPF
  • Complying with the statutory and the health-safety-environmental (HSE) requirements
  • Coordinate, contribute hands-on and comply with the site O&M processes & best practices the O&M methods (check, measure, maintenance interventions reports & records), the UPF data measurement and records, the logistic for materials, tools, equipment, spare parts, chemicals, consumables supply, the site office housekeeping

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical / Mechanical, Electromechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Competencies Certificates Chargeman AO - A4
  • 3 years in field for the coordination and execution of Operation & Maintenance in Solar Projects and technical services for Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) systems or utilities systems
  • Sound knowledge in Mechanical & Electrical systems, instrumentation: Air conditioning-ventilation, chilled water, hot water, steam, boilers, heat pumps, compressed air production and distribution systems associated with supervision, control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems
  • Knowledge about Solar systems operations & maintenance, ability to self-use software for computer energy modeling as well as OEM platform/app.
