SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER

SCHOOL OF BUSINESS - Specialization in Accounting 1. Prepares and delivers lectures to students within a prescribed curriculum; conducts classes; stimulating and guiding discussion; undertakes research and study based on documentary and other sources on subject lectured to ensure quality of courses is maintained. Acts as tutor to monitor progress of projects. 2. Prepares and participates in preparing examination papers, invigilating examinations and marking of students' written exercise, papers and practical work where necessary. 3. Offers counseling assistance to students and parents with a view to promote quality education, either in the College or off campus. 4. Organising extra-curricular activities for students in their field of study or for leisure activities. 5. A lecturer is expected to teach 20 hours per week and to undertake other duties/tasks as and when assigned by the Head/Coordinator. 6. Participates in professional forums, seminars, and training to keep abreast with technological developments and market demands. 7. Confers with Head and/or Registrar, and Lecturers and external consultants on curriculum design, class scheduling, students' welfare and other academic requirements on a regular basis and provides feedback to Head/Coordinator or Registrar to ensure policies implemented achieve the desired aims and suggests modifications necessary to improve quality. Job Requirements:- 1. Possess a recognized Doctoral Degree (PhD or DBA) in a related discipline. 2. Experience: * Relevant teaching experience of more than 5 years in higher education; * Candidate with working experience in the industries would have added advantage. 3. Specific skills, knowledge and characteristics: * Good public speaking and presentation skills; * Good interpersonal and communication skills; * Good analytical and problem solving skills; * Subject expert of the specific discipline; * Able to apply various teaching pedagogies to meet student needs; * Possess knowledge to carry out research and scholarly work in the specific discipline 4. Good command of English language, Good team player Candidate must be willing to travel between both UOWM KDU George Town Campus, and Batu Kawan Campus. Only qualified candidates will be shortlisted.
