Senior Programmer

Scope of Responsibility • Undertaking background research on the client’s business environment. • Undertake background research on the technology and developers forum. • Prepare human interface prototype. • Preparation of IT working paper and documentation. • Responsible for writing the code of the application to be developed. • Record the results and identify the possible problems in the application. • Offer functional specifications to writers who will create the manual. • Required also to create new functionality if their clients want it too. • Develops and maintains applications and databases by evaluating client needs; analyzing requirements; developing software systems. • Planning delivery of solutions; answering technical and procedural questions for less experienced team members. • Arranges project requirements in programming sequence by analyzing requirements; preparing a work flow chart and diagram using knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, programming language, and logic. • Confirms program operation by conducting tests; modifying program sequence and/or codes. • Plan the system testing exercise and fix any error occurred. • Maintains computer systems and programming guidelines by writing and updating policies and procedures. • Protects operations by keeping information confidential. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Liaising extensively with external or internal clients. • Analysing clients' existing systems and business models. • Mapping and documenting interfaces between legacy and new systems. • Translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs. • Identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability. • Performs complex Senior Systems Analyst duties on a regular and continuous basis.
