Summary of this job:

The Cyber Security Manager develops tactical plans for risk management. He/She establishes the governance framework for information security to provide assurance that information security strategies are consistent with applicable laws and regulations. He/She identifies key security initiatives and programs through a risk-based approach. He/She communicates new key security initiatives and risks to management and stakeholders to ensure that information risk is understood and identified. He/She recommends mitigation controls for the organization’s key risks and managing key projects.

Key Responsibilities of this job:

  • Test incident response plans periodically to ensure response times and executed procedures are acceptable.
  • Provides management oversight to the Cybersecurity team for Altel’s managed security operations
  • Responsible for the day-to-day leadership of security incidents and associated SLAs as needed to support the Group
  • Provides oversight of communications and escalations as necessary to lead events identified by the SIEM/XDR, etc
  • Accountable for the coordination and primary lead through Cybersecurity incidents
  • Accountable for the on boarding and off boarding of colleagues to support the Cybersecurity program
  • Accountable for the overall execution of the plans and procedures related to the Incident Response,
  • Ensure Forensics, and Investigation functions to include the Computer Security Incident Response plan for the Group where applicable
  • Manage the relationship with third-party vendors providing services to support incident response
  • Oversee reporting that will provide analytics and metrics to Cybersecurity leadership
  • Assess the effectiveness of the security measures against security risk management plan.
  • Document information related to IT security attacks, threats, risks, and controls.
  • Accountable to review procedures based on organization’s security risk management plan.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of current incident response plan against industry good practices.
  • Identify threats and risks that are relevant to an organization’s operations and systems.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of action plans in addressing information risks.
  • Perform comparative analysis of security service performance level parameters against security information sources.
  • Prepare information security performance report based on results from analysis and correlation of information security events.
  • Rate and categorize potential security incidents.
  • Recommend suitable enhancements to improve information security performance.
  • Accountable to review security policies, standards, and procedures by considering the threats identified and other information collected.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of a bachelor’s in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or its equivalent.
  • A minimum of 7-12 years of relevant experience in related industries; with good professional ethics and occupational track records.
  • Proven track record and BAU Operational experience in Managing Security Operations for internal/external customers is critical.
  • Experiences in the areas of security SIEM monitoring, cyber threat hunting, cyber security incidence response, MITRE ATT&CK, phishing handling, DDoS, APT solutions.
  • Industry certifications will be an advantage i.e. CRISC, CISSP, CEH, CISM, CISA.

Pay: RM9,000.00 - RM18,000.00 per month
