Job Title: Sustaining Engineer
A Sustaining Engineer is a member of a global team supporting the release of new product documentation. They are responsible for creating new customer orders for release to production, reviewing customer requirements for new and existing designs, and generating documentation to support new and existing products.
What you will do:
- Work with various engineering, sales, applications, and manufacturing teams to resolve design issues and customer requests
- Existing and New Product Release:
- Generate new BOMs
- Generate and maintain engineering documentation
- Review new product release requests for proper content
- Coordinate new product releases and update globally
- Review and approve ECO's as required
- Perform design assignments requiring the operation and application of computer aided design
- Provide day-to-day technical support for various functions in response to requests for assistance
- Identify areas for improvement in design processes and assist in creating and implementing solutions
- Travel domestically and/or internationally <10% of the time
We are looking for:
- Associate degree in a technical or related field required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 3 years' experience with a manufacturing company required
- 3D software experience required; SolidWorks 2S/3S experience highly preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Demonstrated understanding of GD&T standards
- Demonstrated experience with light assembly and mechanical hand tools
- Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills required
- Ability to read, write, and speak English highly preferred in order to interface with global counterparts.
