Your Role and Responsibilities

The Executive Compensation Program Manager is responsible for supporting all executive compensation offerings within assigned Business Unit(s). They deliver exceptional compensation support, advice, and consultation working closely with the BU Compensation Leader, HR Partner team, and BU senior leadership teams. Responsibilities include:

  • Develop compensation proposals for individual executives due to promotion or job changes and ensure timely, accurate, and compliant processing of all compensation changes.
  • Create executive external new hire offer proposals including all compensation elements (Total Cash, Equity, and Sign-on Bonuses).
  • Ensure successful rollout and completion of the annual AIP and Cash & Equity cycles for assigned business units through thorough tool testing, validation work of all executive records, providing support and guidance to senior executive-level planners, monitoring decisions throughout the cycle to ensure overall results align with BU or CHQ objectives, and completing any ad hoc analysis of results either during or post-cycle as required.
  • Assist in resolving any individual executive questions or engage as needed in matters involving legal compliance or employee relations.
  • Complete ad hoc data analysis based on BU requirements.
  • Involvement in other projects such as developing executive compensation enablement (e.g., manager training material, AskHR bot content) and process simplification work (eliminate, automate, simplify).


Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Prior compensation experience or solid understanding of IBM’s executive compensation offerings.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with executive-level leaders.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good time management skills.
