Position Summary

Overseeing all aspects of financial accounting, compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and tax planning and reporting for the organization entity, profit centres and group goals.

Key Accountabilities

  • manage the internal controls framework and ensure compliance. Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive chart of accounts and accounting policies aligned with relevant accounting standards, manage the internal controls framework and ensure compliance, manage the entire financial accounting cycle, supervise the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Lead and manage the team as to ensure the preparation and presentation of the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial statement is in accordance with MFRS and other relevant accounting standard and internal policies, to ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial records, including monthly and annual closing processes.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the risk management framework to identify and mitigate potential financial compliance risks. Stay abreast of all relevant accounting and financial reporting regulations.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of a comprehensive chart of accounts and accounting policies, manage the internal controls framework and ensure compliance.
  • Develop and implement a tax strategy aligned with the organization's overall goals, oversee the preparation and filing of all the tax returns for the entity and group (worldwide requirement), manage tax audits and negotiations with tax authorities, identify and implement tax-saving opportunities while remaining compliant with tax laws.

Qualification & Working Experience

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance and or Professional Qualification (ACCA, ICAEW, CPA, MIA etc) with 10-14 years in Accounting/Finance or in the related field

  • Technical - Excellent analytical and interpersonal communication skills; hold extensive and in-depth professional knowledge and understanding of divisions business and financial operation
  • Managerial - Possess strong management and conflict resolution skills and ability to multi task
  • Industry knowledge - Expert level of Knowledge for airline business, loyalty and travel services
