JOB REQUIREMENT

Registered as IOW with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM).
Possess a valid CIDB Green Card .
Must possess at least Diploma in Civil/Structural/ Engineering or equivalent related field from a recognized university.
At least 3 years of working experience in the supervision of civil / structure / infrastructure.
Ability to conduct and coordinate site inspection.
Self-motivated and is able to work independently.
Able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
Self-starter, proactive, diligent and ability to work in a team.
Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia (spoken and written).
Willing to work in Kuala Lumpur.
Willing to work 6 days a week and weekends, as and when required.
Full-Time Position.
Has own transportation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance to the Board of Engineer’s Malaysia requirement as the Qualified Inspector of Work (IOW) for the supervision of the civil and structural works.
Supervise and manage civil and structural engineering projects from inception to completion.
Have daily site walk at the construction site and provide site observations.
Monitor site progress against accepted construction schedule and review the Contractor’s progress report. Asses the progress and inform the Project Director/Design Engineer in case of delay.
Ensuring that completed work is in compliance with the plans and specifications.
To evaluate and advise the Design Engineer on extension of time.
Review project plans, drawings, and specifications.
Review shop drawing related to Civil and Structural site works.
Perform regular quality control inspections and assessments.
Monitor contractor performance and enforce contract compliance.
Provide technical guidance and support to the project team.
Resolve technical issues and challenges that may arise during construction.
Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
Conduct safety audits and address any safety concerns promptly.
To assist design Engineers in verifying drawings, specifications and work schedules process measured work, as well as Contractors’ claims and approve works.
Ensure regular taking of site progress photographs.
To attend all site meetings and any other related meetings related to site works.
Keeping and maintaining accurate project records, including site diary, drawings, reports, and correspondence.
Daily reporting to Project Director/design Engineers in reporting of site progress.
