We are looking for a Finance Executive/Jnr. Accountant for Malaysia who would be responsible in ensuring that general accounting works are performed in an effective, accurate and efficient manner. You should be familiar with managing accounting activities, including bank reconciliations, accounts payable and accounts receivable. Know local payroll, Audits & Tax Compliances. Our ideal candidate demonstrates interest in managing accounting activities and growth to be Accountant of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- To process documents in account receivable, account payable and general ledger or equivalent.
- Timely collection and tracking of all ages debtors, including issuance of invoices, collection of cash, maintaining client relationship.
- Timely payment and tracking of all ages payables, including payment of office expenses, supplier invoices, 3rd party suppliers.
- Maintenance and reconciliation of all treasury accounts, incl Bank, Credit Card and Petty Cash and inter company accounts.
- Assist CA of all depreciation, issues of credit/debit note, inter-companies and non BAU accounting reporting.
- Assist CA on submission of monthly trial balance, P&L and Balance sheet.
- Assist CA to create and maintain documentation of standard operating procedures, workflows and accounting policies
- Assist in any ad-hoc assignment, analysis, project and reporting
Key person for company payroll
- Responsible for day-to-day payroll operation including monthly payroll processing and preparing monthly statutory payments for bank submissions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Responsible for the full spectrum of payroll management; processing wages, bonus, allowances, overtime, deductions, advance salary, and others.
- Ensuring all employee contributions, personal income tax obligations are met and liaise with relevant bodies for monthly statutory submission and payment.
- Ensure the team’s documentation of payroll documents and safe keeping of employee personal files are updated in orderly and correctly in the database and fling system.
- Initiate new ways and ideas of improvement plan regarding the payroll cycle related matters.
- Monitor, track and ensure consistent productivity and accuracy performance of the team.
Prerequisites
- Must possess at least diploma/Advance/Graduate in Finance/Accountancy or equivalent.
- Fresh Graduate or +2 years Finance Experience
- Experience in using Xero and google suite is preferred
- Able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia
- A high self-motivated personality and possess effective follow up skills.
- Pro-active and resourceful
- Excellent in interpersonal and organizational skills, able to maintain confidentiality; prioritize tasks in accuracy and efficiency.
- Multi-tasker and able to handle time-sensitive tasks.
