Key Responsibilities:

1. Staff Management:

  • Supervise and lead a team of servers, baristas, kitchen staff, and other cafe personnel.
  • Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Train and onboard new employees in customer service, menu knowledge, and cafe operations.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide constructive feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Ensure staff follows company policies, safety regulations, and cleanliness standards.

2. Customer Service:

  • Ensure the highest level of customer service, addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
  • Lead by example by interacting with customers, addressing their needs, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in the cafe.
  • Handle difficult customers or complaints, ensuring issues are resolved to maintain customer satisfaction.

3. Operations Management:

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly, from order taking to serving food and beverages.
  • Monitor food preparation and quality control to ensure that all items meet the cafe’s standards.
  • Ensure that the cafe is clean, well-organized, and well-maintained at all times, including seating areas, counters, and kitchen spaces.
  • Supervise the opening and closing procedures, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.

4. Inventory and Supply Management:

  • Monitor and manage inventory levels of food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring timely reordering to avoid shortages.
  • Work with suppliers to order ingredients, consumables, and other necessary items.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and maintain accurate records to manage costs effectively.

5. Cash Handling and Reporting:

  • Oversee daily cash handling, ensuring that cash registers are balanced at the end of each shift.
  • Assist in closing the cash register, preparing daily sales reports, and handling discrepancies.
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are processed accurately, including cash, credit cards, and mobile payments.

6. Health and Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure that all food safety regulations and health standards are strictly adhered to.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure all staff are following hygiene practices and using proper food handling techniques.
  • Address any maintenance or safety issues promptly to maintain a safe and operational work environment.

7. Menu and Product Knowledge:

  • Ensure staff members have a deep understanding of the menu offerings, including ingredients, preparation methods, and any potential allergens.
  • Provide customers with recommendations based on their preferences or dietary restrictions.
  • Assist in updating the menu when necessary and introducing new menu items or seasonal specials.

8. Promotion and Sales:

  • Promote upselling techniques and train staff on increasing sales through product knowledge and customer interaction.
  • Monitor and implement promotions, discounts, or special events to boost sales.
  • Ensure the proper display of promotional materials and menu updates.

9. Team Leadership and Morale:

  • Create a positive and motivating work environment for staff, ensuring open communication and teamwork.
  • Resolve any conflicts between staff members and provide solutions to improve teamwork.
  • Lead regular staff meetings to discuss any updates, address concerns, and improve operational processes.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • SPM , SKM, Diploma or equivalent (a degree in hospitality or business management is a plus).
  • 2+ years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the F&B or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with both customers and staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and experience maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle a fast-paced work environment.
  • Proficient in using POS systems and basic financial management.
  • Problem-solving skills to address customer issues and staff management challenges.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM2,800.00 per month
