Job Descriptions:

1. Sales Strategy and Business Development

  • Work with head of sales to develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to increase the business.
  • Work with head of sales to implement sales plan addressing revenue, market segment and clients.
  • Identify new business opportunities for both local and international market.
  • Cultivate relationships with corporate, government, association, and event planning clients.

2. Event Management

  • Handles event inquiries, sales call, negotiate terms, close sales, planning and execution of event.
  • Experience in planning and managing events, especially large-scale meetings, conferences, outdoor events and exhibitions.
  • Plan, coordinate and work closely with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution and delivery, including venue, catering, conference requirements, Themepark accommodation and transport arrangements.
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop targeted sales strategies and materials that resonate with prospective clients.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to enhance future events.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary client liaison, ensuring exceptional service and customized event experiences.
  • Manage clients, providing expert recommendations and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Display good guest hospitality, obtain feedback for improvement as well as build and maintain long term client relationship.
  • Attends client events, trade shows and sales mission to expand network and business opportunity.

4. Financial Management and Compliance

  • Manage event budgets, proposals, commercial terms and contracts to optimize profitability.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational efficiencies.
  • Ensure all events follow MICE SOP and comply with relevant policies and regulations

5. Industry Engagement

  • Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance brand presence.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Sales and Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in hospitality and event management.
  • Excellent verbal and communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Dynamic 365 for business needs.
  • In-depth knowledge of the MICE industry, including trends, competitors, and market dynamics.
  • Travel is required for client meetings, site inspections, and industry events.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM3,800.00 per month

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

  • Kuala Lumpur: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
