Job Descriptions:
Shipment Coordination
- Collaborate with Purchasing personnel and shippers to ensure that shipments and documentation are received before the arrival of goods, verifying the correct products and quantities.
- Oversee the review, verification, and reconciliation of shipping documents.
- Ensure all necessary shipping documents are available via email and in original format before the vessel departs from the exporting country.
Compliance and Clearance
- Confirm that products/materials comply with import permits/certificates prior to Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA).
- Monitor, track, and expedite customs clearance processes within the free time allowed for demurrage and detention (D&D).
- Ensure timely offloading of Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) cargoes and return containers to the depot within the free time.
Financial Oversight
- Audit freight costs and ensure timely processing of all freight payments.
- Update shipment, freight, duties, and taxes information in the database.
Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate container deliveries with forwarding agents and third-party warehouses.
- Maintain communication with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operations.
Claims and Reporting
- Manage cargo claim processes, leading communication among Quality Assurance, Finance, Procurement, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Service Providers.
- Assist in completing Delivery Notes (DN), Credit Notes (CN), disposal forms, and matters related to Sales and Service Tax (SST) and duties.
- Support monthly inventory reconciliation and logistics reporting.
Job Requirements:
Education Qualification: Candidates must possess at least SPM/STPM/Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management or other equivalent background.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of working experience in a FMCG company.
Language(s): Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin are highly desirable and will be considered an added advantage.
Computer Literacy Skill(s): Proficient in Microsoft Office. Knowledge in shipping portal net/shipment link system would be an added advantage.
Personal Skill(s): Have good time management, multitasking and planning skills, ability to work under pressure
Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: RM5,000.00 per month
