Senior School Teaching Support Assistant

The Role Reporting to: Deputy Head Academic The senior school teaching support assistant will assist beaks in the preparation of teaching resources, contribute to maintaining inside and outside displays, assist with registration and complete other tasks to help with the smooth running of the Senior School. Key Responsibilities • Respond to beak requests for preparation of resources for their classes and cocurricular activities. • Be proactive in ensuring that displays outside classrooms are relevant and updated frequently. • Assist with the production of resources for internal examinations. • Assist beaks in the preparation of displays within classrooms. • Work with the Whole College Head of EAL to prepare resources to support the AES class and other EAL pupils in accessing learning. • Work with the Whole College Head of Learning Enrichment to prepare resources to support LE pupils in accessing learning. • Assist the technicians with the set-up of Art, DT and ToK exhibitions. • Cover the reception desk in Main Admin to allow the receptionist to get lunch. • To perform duties at break time to cover Master’s briefing and absent beaks. • Work with the Senior School Administrator to follow up on pupil absences in Period 1, and at other times as required, to ensure registers are correct and that any anomalies are followed up in a timely manner. • Manage the Senior School Lost and Found cupboard, sorting named and unnamed items, returning Prep items to the Prep School and emailing senior pupils to collect their items. Normal working hours are 8.00am - 5.00pm, Monday to Friday during term-time, plus a maximum of 25 additional work days out of term-time. The remuneration package includes a competitive salary commensurate with the level of experience of the successful candidate.
