Job Title: Pastry Supervisor

Job Summary:
We are seeking a Pastry Supervisor with a minimum of 1 year experience in a professional pastry or bakery environment. As a Pastry Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality of all baked goods, managing the kitchen team, and overseeing daily production. The ideal candidate will be organized, creative, and able to lead by example in a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Pastry Team: Manage, train, and mentor pastry chefs and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and teamwork.
- Daily Operations: Oversee daily production schedules, ensuring all orders and batches are completed on time with the highest level of quality.
- Recipe Development & Innovation: Collaborate with management to create new menu items, seasonal specials, and innovative pastry products.
- Quality Control: Ensure consistency in taste, texture, and presentation for all products, from croissants to specialty desserts.
- Inventory & Ordering: Manage stock levels and place orders for ingredients and supplies while keeping within the budget.
- Hygiene & Safety: Ensure compliance with food safety standards, cleanliness, and proper sanitation practices in the kitchen.
- Customer Feedback: Work closely with the customer service team to incorporate feedback and make adjustments as needed.
- Performance Evaluations: Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and setting growth objectives for team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a pastry or bakery environment, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong understanding of pastry techniques, ingredients, and trends.
- Proven leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Creativity and attention to detail, ensuring all products are of the highest quality.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Flexible and able to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
