Our client is one of the largest real estate groups, specializing in real estate investment and development. They are currently looking for a seasoned finance professional to join their team as the Finance & Treasury Senior Manager, based at the KL office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the finance team responsible for financial reporting and treasury of a listed REIT.
  • Ensure timely preparation and submission of monthly financial, management reports, performance analysis, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Prepare business performance review reports for board and management presentations.
  • Oversee quarterly audits, year-end audits, and the annual report completion.
  • Ensure accurate and timely submission of audited financial statements, statutory reports, and quarterly REIT announcements.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and tax requirements, including tax filing and computation.
  • Review and advise on accounting systems, procedures, and compliance with financial reporting standards.
  • Improve operational efficiency by refining standard operating procedures and internal controls.
  • Manage treasury operations, including cash management, forex, loans, and bank account administration.
  • Oversee cash flow, negotiate optimal interest rates, and manage treasury transactions.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement, mitigate risks, and optimize borrowing strategies.
  • Assist in system implementations and liaise with auditors, tax agents, authorities, and banks.
  • Support the CFO with internal controls, regulatory compliance, and report preparation.'

Requirements

  • A qualified member of the ACCA accounting professional body is a mandatory requirement.
  • At least 12 years of relevant experience in financial & management reporting, with 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience with large/complex listed companies is mandatory given the nature the role. Experience with REITs is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of MFRS, property fund guidelines, local treasury, cash management, and financial risk regulations.
  • Strategic, proactive, and customer-focused with strong analytical skills.
  • Good written, communication, and teamwork skills.
