Position: Executive Assistant
About GV:
We're a forward-thinking US-based signage design and contracting company expanding into the dynamic Southeast Asian market. Our latest venture is a partnership with a second-generation fabricator in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. By combining their skilled craftsmanship with an investment into a brand new factory space with cutting edge fabrication equipment that will make them one of the premier quality fabrication shops in SE Asia.
About the ROLE:
* We are looking for a temporary team member (3-6 months) to play a pivotal part in the growth of international business venture, setting up a new state-of-the-art manufacturing facility
* You’ll be the right hand assistant to the primary decision maker and experienced sign fabricator during an extremely pivotal time of planning/construction of the new space, moving from existing factory and first 1-2 months of operation
* Your duties will range widely each day and likely be based on your interest/previous experience. It could be anything from meeting contractors on site, summarizing and communicating information to various teams, sourcing vendors, creating cost analysis spreadsheets, assembling furniture, assisting with factory floor to meet deadlines, arranging transportation for team members etc.
* You will participate in the planning, development, installation and operational start up of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, the first of its kind in SE Asia.
About YOU:
* Spoken/written English, spoken Cantonese and spoken Mandarin is required
* Culturally savvy and eager to learn about the complexities and subtleties of dealings with an international team (US/HK/MY)
* Adventurous, free-thinker, intelligent, thrives in a fast-paced decisive environment, strong communicator and quick to action, not afraid to get his/her hands dirty with hands-on solutions, brave and willing to take charge of a situation, flexible and gets along with everyone
* Eager to be part of a start-up team and interested in manufacturing processes, supporting a new partnership and technical aspects of setting up a new factory providing invaluable experience for career development.
* Have a Bachelor’s degree from accredited 4 year university or equivalent 2 year technical college and 2 years working experience
COMPENSATION (based on international hiring)
* Monthly rate determined based on prior experience
* Economy flight(s) to/from Malaysia
* Accommodations near the factory
* Daily living stipend
