RESPONSIBILITIES  Has overall shift responsibilities and accountable to the Restaurant Manager for the smooth running of his / her shift.  Supervise the upkeep cleanliness of the entire restaurant by means of the cleaning chart.  Ensure the proper administration of float money to cashier and the submission of an accurate Shift Cashier Reports after each shift and the proper check control record.  Responsible for balancing the shift’s clearing with the cashier and may be assigned to bank-in sales money.  To inculcate strongly to all crew members the concept of stock rotation (FIFO) for all prepared food, raw food, canned and dry provisions.  Upkeep efficiently all inventory records and ensure the organization and cleanliness of storeroom and all refrigerated storage.  Take charge of staff welfare in area of meal times, personnel problems, helping out in busy times, birthdays, outings and to ensure a high standard of morale at all times.  Ensure the continuous and correct use of all checklists in the opening and closing operations.  Undertake staff scheduling and budgeting responsibility under direction of the Restaurant Manager.  Take check on quality of food production by instructing the correct procedures of standards recipes.  Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures are being follow by all crew members.  Hold regular informal meeting with staff to pass information and receive feedback on work problems and to encourage staff participation in operational improvement.  Perform the ordering functions with approved suppliers and ensure the proper receiving of goods in weight ordered, supplied and quality standards. Cannot hire or dismiss staff but can recommend this to Restaurant Manager. Responsible for the submission in a timely manner, off all reports, schedule and etc to Restaurant Manager. Conduct periodic security spot checks on staff lockers, garbage bins, and store room in order to control pilferage. Required to use the necessary work plan / form to organize work during shift. Helps to maintain proper records of employees particular and training materials file. Conduct periodic Restaurant Training Session with employees as stipulate by Training Department. Helps to train Crew Leader to become effective trainers. Conduct training and organized with proper and presented manner. Monitor trainee’s performance and conduct Training Evaluation one week after the training.
