We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy of financial records, maintain compliance with regulations, and support financial planning and analysis activities.

Requirements

You are best for this role if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Fluency in English is preferred; additional languages are a plus.

Your daily activities as an Accountant will include:

    • Book keeping and data entry – approvals, bank statement and currencies from BNM
    • General ledger management – monthly closing
    • Accounts payable and receivable – check all vendor invoice received, payments of vendors, Fitek/NAV recon, closing sales invoice
    • Payroll processing – process payroll with labor law compliance, payroll tax and statutory filings, resolving tax issues with LHDN, salary structure
    • Tax preparation and compliance – calculate estimated tax payable and account for non allowable expenses, file estimate taxes and make monthly payment
    • Liaising with cosec, auditors, tax agents and bankers etc
    • Quarterly cash flow and expense report to local CEO
    • Event/project budget allocation and adherence with HR
