Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement: Greet customers, understand their needs, and provide personalized assistance to help them find the right product or service.
  • Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company's products or services, including features, benefits, pricing, and promotions.
  • Sales Targets: Meet or exceed sales targets by proactively selling to customers, upselling and cross-selling products, and closing sales effectively.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in managing stock levels, ensuring that products are well-displayed, and reporting any inventory issues.
  • Payment Processing: Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods, ensuring accuracy in transactions and following proper procedures.
  • Sales Reporting: Keep track of daily sales, record customer feedback, and provide reports to the Sales Manager as needed.

Job Summary:The Salesperson will be responsible for identifying customer needs, promoting and selling products or services, and maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a strong drive to achieve sales targets.

Job Benefits

  • Working Hours and Rest Days
  • Working Hours: Employees cannot work more than 8 hours per day or 48 hours per week.
  • Rest Days: Employees are entitled to at least 1 rest day per week.
  • Overtime: Overtime pay is required for work beyond normal working hours, calculated at 1.5 times the normal hourly rate on regular days, 2 times on rest days, and 3 times on public holidays.
  • Annual Leave
  • Entitlement Based on Length of Service:
    • Less than 2 years of service: 8 days per year.
    • 2 to 5 years of service: 12 days per year.
    • More than 5 years of service: 16 days per year.
  • Sick Leave
  • Entitlement Based on Length of Service:
    • Less than 2 years of service: 14 days per year.
    • 2 to 5 years of service: 18 days per year.
    • More than 5 years of service: 22 days per year.
  • Hospitalization Leave: In addition to the normal sick leave, employees are entitled to up to 60 days of hospitalization leave per year, provided that the total number of sick and hospitalization leave days does not exceed 60 days in a year.
  • Public Holidays
  • Employees are entitled to 11 paid public holidays per year, including five mandatory holidays:
    • National Day (31st August)
    • Birthday of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong
    • Malaysia Day (16th September)
    • Labour Day (1st May)
    • The birthday of the Ruler or Yang di-Pertua Negeri of the state or Federal Territory day.
  • Maternity Leave
  • Female employees are entitled to 98 consecutive days of paid maternity leave for up to 5 children. The leave starts no earlier than 30 days before the expected delivery date.
  • Paternity Leave
  • In the private sector, paternity leave is not mandated by federal law, but companies may offer IT as part of their benefits package. Government employees are entitled to 7 days of paternity leave.
  • EPF (Employees Provident Fund) Contributions
  • Both employers and employees must contribute to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF). The standard contribution rate is 12% to 13% of the employeeĆ¢s monthly salary by the employer, and 11% by the employee.
  • SOCSO (Social Security Organization) Contributions
  • Employers and employees must contribute to SOCSO, which provides social security benefits in the event of employment injury, invalidity, or death. There are two types of schemes:
    • Employment Injury Scheme (paid by the employer).
    • Invalidity Scheme (paid by both employer and employee).
