Cloud Security Engineer

Team and Role Introduction:

This is an exciting role in Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group which offers a great opportunity to work on cross-functional and multi-national Cybersecurity projects. We are looking for a candidate with technical background and experience in IT Infrastructure and Information Security. You will be involved in day-to-day L2 operations, execution of new security projects, including design, build and operate. You will be assisting the product owners of security capabilities and products developed by Security Architecture team and providing support to cross-functional team and users.

Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day administration of Cloud infrastructure services, regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements
• Maintain cloud infrastructures in accordance with best practices and company security policies.
• Interacting with clients, providing support to end-users, and making recommendations based on client needs.
• Employ cloud-based APIs when suitable to write network/system level tools for safeguarding cloud environments
• Assis in designing, developing and deploying modular cloud-based solutions and systems
• Assist in building and maintaining Cybersecurity components in the Cloud
• Ad-hoc after-office hours supports will be required for service/products managed by the team

Requirements

• 3 to 4 years experience in the field of cloud computing and Information Security.
• Knowledge in security concepts (data, network and cloud security)
• Good understanding and hands-on experience in Windows server operating systems
• Good understanding and hands-on experience in Linux server operating systems
• Good communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team.
• Good analytical, problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• DevOps know-how on building and deploying infrastructure with coding
• Familiarity with systems and Networking, (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, LAN/WAN, Proxy concepts)
• Familiarity with security tools and concepts such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, and endpoint protection
• Basic understanding of Cloud automation and security operation
• Able to perform assigned tasks independently with minimal supervision
