Job Summary

A convenience store franchise, is seeking an experienced Head of Marketing to lead our marketing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting our marketing strategy, developing and implementing plans to drive our offline and online presence and top-line growth. This role will require the candidate to oversee branding initiatives and tactical promotional campaigns, including PR, design, social media, copywriting, performance marketing, partnerships, affiliates, and our eCommerce platform. Additionally, ensure all marketing campaigns are in alignment with the core brand message.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement and manage end-to-end strategic marketing plans for offline and online channels that align with business objectives and drive revenue growth for Emart24 and relevant brands in the ecosystem.
  • Develop and implement marketing activities that increase brand value, awareness and capture market share.
  • Lead the development of creative marketing content, messaging, and branding initiatives that resonate with our target audience.
  • Oversee the growth and engagement across all our social media channels, including community management.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) across all our channels, regularly report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and propose improvements.
  • Develop and manage the offline and online marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to achieve maximum ROI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, launch, and execute effective promotional online and offline campaigns, including in-store activations, events, performance marketing, CRM, and other marketing-related activities, and ensure consistent branding and messaging across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with external key stakeholders, including suppliers, partners, and customers.
  • Stay up-to-date with market trends (including those from Korea and localize for the Malaysian market), consumer insights, and emerging technologies to continuously improve marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Collaborate with the Emart24 Global HQ marketing team where necessary, to align on brand guidelines and develop global marketing initiatives that can be localized for the Malaysian market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Psychology, Communication, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in a senior marketing role, with a focus on end-to-end campaign planning, branding, and KPI monitoring.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple and clear manner.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret and analyze data from our online and offline marketing channels to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to think creatively and develop innovative marketing strategies that differentiate Emart24 from competitors.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of the Malaysian retail market and experience working with a retail, FMCG, F&B, or eCommerce company is preferred.
  • Familiarity with different demographics and geographies across Malaysia.
  • Proficient in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
