Position Overview:

The Training Specialist in the Training & Development department is responsible for assisting Training Manager to conduct training needs analysis (TNA), design and develop comprehensive training materials/program, training delivery and training evaluation. This role requires basic training and instructional design skills, excellent verbal and communication skills, and analytical skills to conduct TNA, and strong organizational skills to handle multiple aspects of training programs simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Training Needs Assessment (TNA):

  • Assist Manager to conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge, skills, abilities (KSA) gaps and training requirements among warehouse employees & international team
  • Collaborate with local warehouse managers and international teams to gather insights into specific regional needs and challenges
  • Regularly review and update training needs assessments to adapt programs to evolving business demands

2. Training Program/Materials Development:

  • Assist Manager to design and develop comprehensive training programs/materials (including SOP, user guide) for warehouse staff & international team, incorporating best practices, industry standards, and company-specific procedures
  • Ensure that training materials are up-to-date, relevant, and accessible to all trainees
  • Assist Manager to develop and implement onboarding programs for new employees (warehouse staff & international team), ensuring a smooth transition into their roles
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements in training and recommend innovative solutions, leverage learning management systems (LMS) to improve training efficiency, tracking and managing online/offline modules

3. Training Delivery:

  • Assist Manager in the delivery of training programs through various methods, such as classroom instruction, on-the-job training, e-learning, and workshops
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes with the relevant teams
  • Collaborate with local trainers to ensure effective and culturally sensitive training delivery
  • Monitor training sessions to ensure they meet quality standards and objectives

4. Training Evaluation:

  • Assist Manager to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the effectiveness of training programs
  • Regularly evaluate the performance of training initiatives, seeking feedback from participants and stakeholders and make continuous improvements to training content and delivery methods
  • Use evaluation data to make continuous improvements to training content and

5. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Collaborate closely with cross functional departments, especially operations, HR, and senior management, to align training initiatives with organizational goals
  • Communicate regularly with international warehouse managers to understand specific training needs and challenges

Experience/ Skills requirement:

1. Minimum 2-3 years of relevant working experience

2. Training and Instructional Design: Ability to design and develop training programs tailored to warehouse staff & international team needs

3. Competence in instructional design principles, including creating engaging and effective training materials (online/offline)

4. Excellent verbal & written communication skills with collaborative nature

5. Ability to convey information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences

6. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct Training Needs Analysis on a regular basis to identify KSA gaps of employees

7. Project Management: Strong organizational skills to handle multiple aspects of training programs simultaneously

8. Willingness to travel overseas to support training program and delivery

9. Preferably can read, write and speak Mandarin regardless race (special requirements for China-related business)

10. Good to have some basic warehouse, logistic or supply chain operation knowledge (not a mandatory requirement)
