About the Role

We are seeking dynamic and results-oriented Senior Sales Manager to join our expanding Sales team in Malaysia. In this pivotal role, you will be tasked with propelling new business growth within the B2B remittance market, strategically expanding our client base, and surpassing revenue targets.

You will be based in Malaysia, reporting to the Country Head, Malaysia and Head of Sales (Malaysia), and supporting our entity M-DAQ Payment Solutions. To learn more about the Payments business, visit https://www.linkedin.com/company/wallex/

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and assess potential B2B clients within diverse industries in Malaysia through organic means or referrals, utilizing methods such as sales calls, outdoor sourcing, inbound leads, direct mail, email outreach, and participation in networking events.
  • Participate to Plan, develop, formulate, and execute effective sales strategies to acquire new accounts or new prospects, and to promote active customers ‘payment transactions.
  • Generating Sales and Revenue, upsell, cross-sell and nuture client relationship as a trusted business advisor, to achieve assigned sales targets and drive company growth. .
  • Build a pipeline of qualified leads and maintain accurate records of all interactions & progress.
  • Oversee and manage the entire corporate onboarding process at each stage from account acquisition to transaction fulfillment.
  • Support the Compliance Team in conducting customer due diligence and ensure the acquisition of appropriate documentation from clients.
  • Handle pre and post transaction, by collaborating with internal teams such as marketing, business operations, compliance, and tech team to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer service issues by working with multiple internal key stakeholders, in delivering frictionless-customer experience.
  • Participate in contributing to market research and insight analysis, to understand industry trends and competitor landscape.
  • Deliver compelling presentations and negotiate competitive contracts.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and compliance requirements within the remittance industry.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma / bachelor’s degree of any discipline, with 1-3 years of relevant experience in Sales and 2-4 years in Money Services Business or Payment Services
  • Passion for Foreign Exchange, Sales, and Revenue Generation, with strong interest in Corporate FX Sales or Dealing, derivatives, hedging and options
  • Customer-centric with considerable experience in managing corporate accounts and stakeholders
  • Experienced with Consultative Sales Approach
  • Professional verbal communication in English, and Malay is preferred, with Cantonese, and Mandarin as added advantages
  • Good and effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at different levels
  • Results-driven and ability to operate effectively in a multi-functional, challenging & fast-paced environment
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with proven track record of exceeding goals.
  • Possess high learning agility, cultural sensitivity, and a global mindset.
  • Resilience and positive attitude with ability to navigate ambiguity, anticipate potential problems, determine, and drive positive outcomes
  • Knowledge and experience in Digital Technologies are a plus
