About the job:

The QA Tester will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through rigorous testing and analysis. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software testing, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to verify software functionality, usability, and performance.
• Perform manual testing and automated testing of web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and prioritize defects and issues found during testing.
• Collaborate with software developers to resolve defects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
• Conduct regression testing to verify software changes and updates.
• Participate in requirements analysis and review to ensure testability and completeness of software requirements.
• Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and testing reports.
• Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements to software features, usability, and performance.
• Stay up to date on industry best practices, trends, and technologies related to software testing and quality assurance.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the QA process.

Requirement and Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Experience with manual testing techniques and tools, and automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit, Appium).
• Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow testing procedures and protocols.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, Quality Center) is a plus.
• ISTQB or similar certification in software testing is a plus.

Job Types: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: From RM20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday

• Johor Bahru: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
