Position: Accounting Intern

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and proactive Accounting Intern to join our finance team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or current students pursuing a degree in accounting or finance who want to gain practical experience in a corporate environment. The successful candidate will assist the accounting team with daily operations across various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Support accounts payable by entering invoices, verifying transactions, and processing payments accurately and on time.

· Assist with bank reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and month-end closing activities.

· Maintain and organise financial records, compliance-related documents, and assist with document management.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles during financial data preparation and processing.

· Handle other administrative and ad-hoc finance-related tasks as needed.

· Assist with bank, compliance, and regulatory matters when required.

Requirements:

· Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· No prior work experience required, though previous internships or relevant experience in accounting or finance is an advantage.

· Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

· Good software and internet skills.

· Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero is a plus.

· Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

· Good written and verbal communication skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
