Position: Technical Engineer - Hydrographic and Geophysical Survey Solutions

Location: Malaysia

Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our sales team to provide technical support during the sales process and ensure customer satisfaction post-sales. Your expertise in hydrographic and geophysical survey technology will be crucial in demonstrating the value of our USV solutions to our clients worldwide.

Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to provide technical guidance, product demonstrations, and customized solutions that meet client requirements. Work with potential customers to understand their requirements, collaborate with our R&D team, and advise on the best USV configurations and technologies.

Technical Presentations: Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, showcasing the capabilities and benefits of our USV solutions in various survey applications.

Proposal Development: Work with our R&D team, responsible for preparing USV technical proposals, including detailed equipment specifications and system capabilities.

After-Sales Support: Provide technical support to clients after purchase, including system setup, troubleshooting, and operational training. Gather customer feedback and work with the R&D team to improve product performance and customer experience.

Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user manuals, training materials, and FAQs.

Travel: Willingness to travel internationally with our sales team to meet clients, conduct demonstrations, and provide on-site support.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hydrography, Oceanography, Geomatics, Geophysics, Marine science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of technical or operational experience in hydrographic or geophysical survey, preferably with
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding and operational experience with survey equipment (e.g., MBES, SBP, SSS, SBES, MAG, USBL, INS, RTK GNSS), data processing software (e.g., HYPACK HYSWEEP PosPac CARIS QINSy Qimera), and marine electronics. Sales Support:
  • Experience supporting sales teams with technical insights and customer-facing roles. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a proactive approach to resolving technical challenges. Be able to work both independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Language: Professional in English/ Fluent in Chinese
