Objectives of the Position

The SC Nerve Center Ops Support Executive will provide support for activities within the Export management and Transportation management for BASF Service Europe (BASF SE) as the exporter, which include, but are not limited to: -

  • Managing activities for sea shipments exported from Europe to various regions worldwide.
  • Engaging with the Transportation Managers, Customer Order Managers and any other relevant functions in the process chain in the exporting country.

Main Tasks

Plays a key role in supporting activities related to BASF SE as the exporter and serving as the first level of escalation for any raised issues.

  • Takes responsibility for coordinating among all relevant parties involved in export shipments, including the Service providers, Transportation management, and Operational vendor management, to ensure the timely receipt and accurate maintenance of export documentation in SAP.
  • Supports in maintaining a high data quality for shipping information within the SAP system.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate updates of shipment rebooking/rescheduling information within the agreed-upon timeframe in the system.
  • Takes responsibility for registering extra costs related to inbound and outbound shipments in SAP, ensuring attention to detail in the registration process for accurate billing to the service providers.
  • Monitors IDOC messages in the SAP system for shipping details and verifies the accuracy of this information to ensure that all relevant stakeholders have access to up-to-date and precise updates in the system.
  • Actively monitor the performance of the Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) BOT and Bill of Lading (BL) BOT – To ensure the successful transmission of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) to BASF Service Providers via BOT, as well as ensuring smooth processing of the Bill of Lading (BL) BOT to upload the BL copy into the system on a timely manner.
  • To prepare and update Knowledge documentation for all activities under the responsibility of the SC Nerve Center Ops Support Team.



Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree or High Diploma preferably in Supply Chain Management


Working Experience

  • 2-4 years relevant experience in supply chain management, including hands-on experience in export management and shipping document handling

Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Supply Chain Management / process knowledge (end to end), SAP R/3 expert know-how experience, Order-to-Cash (OTC) Supply Chain Event Management, export operations management including shipping documentation, foreign documentary trade, good communication skills, Quality Management (Non-Conformance Management)
  • Expertise in Export Management Procedures and export/import regulations, IMDG, INCO Terms & Customs Regulations
