We are currently looking for a Production Manager for a leading player in the Industrial Machinery Manufacturing Industry for their expansion. This company has a legacy of more than 100 years in Southeast Asia. This position requires your urgent attention.

  • Reporting to: Operations Director
  • Team size: Up to 100 people
  • Based in Johor

the role

  • Production Planning & Management: Oversee and manage daily production activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and cost targets.
  • Resource Allocation: Ensure optimal use of manpower, equipment, and materials to maximize productivity while minimizing waste.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the production team, ensuring high morale and productivity, while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for operational improvements and implement strategies to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and optimize workflow.
  • Quality Control: Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure products meet the required quality standards, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Health & Safety: Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control production costs, optimizing operational budgets, and implementing cost-saving initiatives where applicable.
  • Reporting: Generate and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as output, quality, efficiency, and resource utilization.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (procurement, maintenance, quality control, logistics) to ensure smooth production processes and timely delivery of products.

the experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in manufacturing engineering or any relevant discipline.
  • Possess experience in metal fabrication, assembly or CNC machining is an added advantage
