Job Responsibilities:
- Financial Leadership:
- Oversee all financial activities including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the leadership team, ensuring alignment with the company’s goals and objectives
- Partner with the Group Chief Financial Officer (GCFO) to ensure consistency in financial practices across the group
- Business Partnering:
- Act as the primary Finance Business Partner offering insights and support in financial planning and decision-making
- Collaborate with other business units to optimize financial performance and drive profitability
- Financial Reporting and Compliance:
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with regulatory requirements, accounting standards, and group policies
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and regulatory filings.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process including the development of financial plans, forecasts, and long-term financial strategies
- Monitor financial performance against budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions as needed
- Risk Management and Internal Controls:
- Develop and maintain a robust internal control environment to mitigate financial risks
- Collaborate with the Risk team to ensure that financial risks are identified, assessed, and managed effectively
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure effective audits and compliance with audit requirements
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Ensure the finance team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet business objectives
- Stakeholder Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the leadership team Group CFO, Group Executive Committee, board members, regulators, auditors, and external partners
- Present financial information and analysis to the board and senior management as required
