The Opportunity
Senior Bid Manager - Petaling Jaya, Selangor. Act as the initial technical point of contact, offering support or consultancy to customers prior to sales. Responsible for providing quotations for solutions, services, and turnkey business, ensuring that competitive pricing and cutting-edge technology are highlighted. Plays a pivotal role in assisting Area Sales Managers and Contract Administrators with technical guidance during the execution of projects. Offers support to Project Management throughout project execution regarding technical issues and design. Additionally, when required, assumes the leadership of a team of bid managers within the region.

The Role
- Lead a team to prepare, coordinate, submit bids with diversity from simple to Complex.
- Calculate and coordinate quotations for solutions and services and upload in SAP Projects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
- Contact customers/agents for technical clarifications, active role for technical support to (end) customers before and during the bidding phase.
- Defend offer internally and occasionally locally in support of the Area Sales Manager.
- Able to offer different alternatives, pro-actively in case of price issues or in case of deviations from specification.
- Support of Area Sales Managers at request, e.g. during customer visits to ADB Safegate,
- Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), ...
- Write airfield lighting / VDGS / Tower related standards and methods.
- Contact airfield third party suppliers and installation contractors, prepare RFQs for these, evaluate offers and select the right one for each occasion.
- Prepare gross BOQs (lights, signs, accessories, circuits, CCRs…) for budgetary offers without
- AGL/VDGS/Tower Design support.
- Engineer (Aeronautical/Airfield/Airport, Electrical or industrial) or equivalent by experience
- Bid manager experience: at least 5-10 years' experience
- SAP experience
- MS Office
- English and Mandarin
