Our client is an indiependant games development studio founded 2008 in the cultural heart of Southeast Asia. They are a game tech focused studio with both internal OIP (Original Intellectual Property) and external co-development tracks. They build games over multiple platforms, primarily focused on Windows Desktop PC (Unreal Engine). Their flagship and breakout is a fully serviced live operational squad based multiplayer PvP (Player-Versus-Player) 5v5 (Five-Versus-Five) FPS (First-Person-Shooter) and RTS (Real-Time-Strategy) hybrid action combat game launched in 2021.

Our client provides full cycle work for hire, co-development, consulting, backend development, and virtual production support disciplines across all departments both internally and externally. Today, they are a team of 60 full-time internal developers and growing. The Responsibilities

Our client is on the lookout for great full-time talents in QA Testing and Engineering to join our growing development team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our talented team in identifying and documenting bugs, glitches, and other issues that may affect gameplay, performance, and the overall user experience across our many internal and external projects.

  • Principal Responsibilities
    • Work alongside their teams and project stakeholders in functionality and regression testing in rooting out potential experience dampening issues, to provide detailed reports on problems and follow up closely with their developers to ensure that issues are resolved.
    • Collaborate with all internal teams across all active projects in providing a layer of quality assurance on all features scheduled for delivery through manual, and or automated functionality, stress, regression, usability, compliance, certification, etc. testing on all intended platforms (Desktop PC, Console, Mobile, etc.).
    • Produce technical solutions and industry best practices on issue resolution, from issue reproduction frequency, steps to replicate, to post patch follow up and user experience impact quantification and reporting.


  • Team & Personal Responsibilities
    • Good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with various disciplines and stakeholders across different project and approval stages.
    • Experienced or keen to learn and improve new pipeline and production practices through iterative development methodologies, be it traditional or agile workflows.
    • Constantly familiarizing and keeping updated with current industry standards, trends, pipelines, and software to effectively and consistently hit higher graphical benchmarks.
The Requirements

  • Core Requirements
    • Experience with Unreal Engine 4, and or 5 (and above).
    • Experience in testing for various hardware and platforms (PC, Console, Mobile, etc.).
    • Experience with bug-tracking tools and software (Bugzilla, Jira, Bugsplat, etc.).
    • Experience in Version Control Software (SVN, Git, Perforce, etc.).
    • Experience in Traditional, and or Agile work environments and methodologies.
    • Experience working in larger teams for products with high player to player interactions.
    • Good observational skills and keen attention to detail.
    • Meticulous and strict attitude when adhering to test specifications and reporting.
    • Ability to self assess, profile, improve, and optimize reporting systems and methodologies.
    • Knowledgeable in a typical game development cycle.
    • Is Proficient in English, both verbal and written.


  • Supplementary Skills
    • Experience with compliance and certification testing for Consoles (PlayStation, XBOX, etc.).
    • Experience in automative programming languages or scripting (e.g., Python, Lua, etc.).
    • Experience in developing pipelines for automative testing (AI Bots, Fake Players, etc.).
    • Previous experience as a QA Tester or similar in the gaming industry.


  • Beneficial & Bonus Skills
    • Experience in long periods of repetitive gameplay or detailed testing of specific features.
    • Experience in profiling for various hardware and platforms (PC, Console, Mobile, etc.).
    • Passion for video games across different game genres, platforms, and trends.
The Rank Requirements

  • Intermediate QA Tester / Engineer
    • Possesses a good understanding of quality assurance pipelines and reporting structures. Sufficient portfolio, and or experience in quality assurance utilizing industry standard software(s) and game engine(s), with or without regulated certification(s). Optional experience in automative solutions in quality assurance in any minor, and or major shape or form.


  • Senior QA Tester / Engineer
    • Solid experience and demonstrated ability in quality assurance pipeline development, consistent delivery of daily reports and risk assessments meet project requirements, both technically and within schedule parameters. Decent knowledge in quality assurance minimum game benchmark documentation, best practices documentation and training, and maintenance in execution. Have at least been credited with one game title launch, with preferably a minimum of three to four years of industry experience.


  • Lead QA Tester / Engineer
    • Excellent knowledge and demonstrated consistency in developing and maintaining quality assurance pipelines, best practices, and resource scheduling. Ability to document, improve, and mentor newer quality assurance testers and engineers. Is Proficient in multiple core skills with a few peripheral and supplementary skill sets. Decent knowledge in a typical game development cycle and environment, interpersonal and planning skills. Have at least been credited with two or more game title launches, with preferably a minimum of five to six years of industry experience.
