The Responsibilities:
Our client is on the lookout for great full-time talents in Real-Time Visual Effects (VFX) Artists to join their growing development team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with their talented team in producing consistently believable, platform optimized, and stylistically accurate effects in their many internal and external projects.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with their talented team in producing consistently believable, platform optimized, and stylistically accurate effects in their many internal and external projects.
- Principal Responsibilities
- Work alongside their team and project stakeholders to deliver real-time in-game VFX assets that amplify, and are in-lined with the project’s visual direction, technical specifications, and calendar milestone demands.
- Develop visually invoking VFX assets through innovative utilization of 2D/3D particles, shapes, motions, shaders, and post processing effects for both gameplay and cinematic use, while maintaining built optimization and efficiency, within technical boundaries.
- Plan, conceptualize, and design VFX assets in pre production, and be able to clearly communicate your ideas and intentions to project stakeholders before actual development.
- Team and Personal Responsibilities
- Good interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with various disciplines and stakeholders across different project and approval stages.
- Experienced or keen to learn and improve new pipeline and production practices through iterative development methodologies, be it traditional or agile workflows.
- Constantly familiarizing and keeping updated with current industry standards, trends, pipelines, and software to effectively and consistently hit higher graphical benchmarks.
- Core Requirements
- Experience with Unreal Engine 4 and or 5 (and above).
- Experience with Unreal Engine VFX Development (Niagara).
- Experience in Version Control Software (SVN, Git, Perforce, etc.).
- Experience in Traditional and or Agile work environments and methodologies.
- Good observational skills when replicating and manipulating motions.
- Ability to produce VFX storyboards for pre production approval and planning.
- Ability to self assess, profile, improve, and optimize VFX assets developed.
- Knowledgeable in a typical game development cycle.
- Is Proficient in English, verbal and written.
- Supplementary Skills
- Experience in 3D Software (Autodesk Maya, 3Ds Max, Blender, etc.).
- Experience in 2D Software (Adobe After Effects, Premier Pro, etc.).
- Beneficial & Bonus Skills
- Experience in Shader Creation (Node Based, C++, etc.).
- Experience in Plug-In VFX Software (Rayfire, Realflow, FumeFX, etc.).
- Experience in planning and estimation of VFX project requirements.
- Experience in In-Game Post Processing tools (Unreal Engine).
- Experience in 2D Post Production VFX Development (Adobe After Effects, etc.).
- Experience in Programming and or Scripting (C++, C#, etc.).
- Experience in various hardware and platforms (Mobile, Console, PC, etc.)
- Junior / Fresh Graduate VFX Artist
- Possesses a good understanding of particles and the mechanics of motion. Sufficient portfolio in creating in-game 2D/3D VFX assets through industry standard software(s) and game engine(s). Previous work to showcase stylistic consistency and imaginative use of emitters, geometry, animation, and or shaders to create visually appealing game ready VFX assets.
- Intermediate VFX Artist
- Solid experience and demonstrated ability in VFX development, consistent delivery of assets that meet project requirements, both technically and stylistically. Decent knowledge in VFX ideation, mockup, and prototyping. Have at least been credited with one game title launch, with preferably a minimum of three to four years of industry experience.
- Senior VFX Artist
- Excellent knowledge and demonstrated consistency in developing visually stunning VFX assets across multiple, and various project stylistic, and technical requirements. Ability to document, improve, and mentor newer VFX staff. Is Proficient in multiple core skills with a few peripheral and supplementary skill sets. Decent knowledge in a typical game development cycle and environment, interpersonal and planning skills. Have at least been credited with two or more game title launches, with preferably a minimum of five to six years of industry experience.
- Principal VFX Artist
- Exceptional proficiencies in VFX development, consistent demonstration of developing visually immaculate VFX throughout various high profile projects. to rapidly prototype complex VFX ideas, benchmark and document processes, while maintaining standard of delivery. Excellent working knowledge in Unreal Engine, and other supplementary 2D/3D tools. Have at least been credited with three or more game title launches, with preferably a minimum of eight to ten years of industry experience.
- Lead VFX Artist
- Excellent background in VFX development with interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Ability to fully understand project requirements, and work closely with all disciplines in maintaining timely delivery of VFX asset deliverables to their respective stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in delegating and maintaining project VFX standards, while adapting, and iterating across a variety of artistic styles. Wide knowledge of technical constraints, optimization and implementation to determine the best tools and techniques in hitting project visual targets. Have at least been credited with two or more game title launches, with preferably a minimum of five to six years of industry experience.
