As the Senior DevOps Engineer you’ll play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions and work alongside colleagues in design, delivery and engineering.

We are looking for someone who is experienced in building cloud infrastructure. The holder will be keen to understand what’s needed to support our applications in production as well as what tools and automations are required by their team to be effective. You will develop automated systems to keep things in continuous deployment running smoothly and implement monitoring to identify issues.

You will specialize in ensuring the stable performance of our infrastructure and learn how to scale that infrastructure as the demands on our department increase.

Your responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Automation: Implement, and automate infrastructure deployment using ARM/Bicep templates, Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash or other relevant tools and scripting languages.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Monitor and maintain Azure/Cloud resources, including virtual machines, databases, storage, and networking components.
  • Developer Community Support: Collaborate with development teams to identify repetitive tasks and bottlenecks
  • Patterns and Reusability: Analize usage patterns and identify opportunities for reusable components.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement security controls, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, and network security.

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience of implementing, and automating infrastructure on Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with infrastructure scripting solutions such as PowerShell, Python and Terraform
  • Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, or Jenkins. We use GitHub and GitHub Actions
  • Experience with Linux and Windows systems, Docker, virtual environments
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform, including Power Apps, Automate and forms.
