Qualification:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related discipline

Experience: 8-11 years

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, providing technical guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Infrastructure Management: Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the development and production infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
• Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD): Establish and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate the software build, testing, and deployment processes, enabling frequent and reliable releases.
• Cloud Platform Management: Manage cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and utilize infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools to provision and configure resources efficiently.
• Automation: Identify opportunities for automation and implement solutions to streamline repetitive tasks, configuration management, and system monitoring.
• Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices and compliance measures throughout the development and deployment lifecycle to safeguard systems and data.
• Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor system performance, analyze metrics, and optimize infrastructure to enhance application responsiveness and reduce latency.
• Incident Management: Coordinate and participate in incident response and resolution, minimizing downtime and providing root cause analysis to prevent future issues.
• Collaboration: Work closely with software development, QA, and IT operations teams to foster collaboration, facilitate knowledge sharing, and ensure smooth cross-functional workflows.
• Tooling and Technology Evaluation: Research and recommend new tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance the DevOps ecosystem and keep the team at the forefront of industry advancements.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of infrastructure configurations, processes, and standard operating procedures.
• Capacity Planning: Assess resource utilization and plan for future infrastructure needs to accommodate business growth and changing requirements
• Budget Management: Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure costs, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and usage.
• Disaster Recovery and Backup: Implement robust disaster recovery and backup strategies to safeguard data and ensure business continuity.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for process improvement, propose solutions, and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of DevOps practices.
• Manages priorities and demand, both professional and personal.
• Displays confidence in role whilst knowing limitations.
