The Malaysian Society for Industrial Safety, established in 1971, is now known as the Malaysian Society for Occupational Safety and Health. It is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political organization with the Honourable Minister for Human Resources Malaysia as the Patron.

DESIGNATION: EXECUTIVE

DEPARTMENT: MEMBERSHIP AND ADMINISTRATIVE

REPORT TO: HEAD OF DEPARTMENT

Key Responsibilities:

1. Membership Data Management

· Maintain and update membership data, ensuring it is accurate and up-to-date.

2. Application Processing

· Process new member applications from corporate and individual applicants after approval by the Management Committee.

3. Approval Documentation

· Prepare and issue approval letters and certificates for new members.

4. Online Membership Management

· Monitor and maintain the online membership application system, ensuring smooth operations and user support.

5. Membership Issues Handling

· Address and resolve membership-related issues and inquiries promptly and efficiently.

6. Communication

· Send information and updates about MSOSH activities and events via email and WhatsApp groups to members.

7. Social Media Management

· Assist in managing MSOSH social media accounts, including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms, to engage with members and promote activities.

8. Web System Updates

· Assist in updating and maintaining the MSOSH web system to ensure current and accurate information.

9. Administrative Support

· Provide administrative support to the Head of Department and assist with membership-related matters as needed.

Qualifications:

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Preferred in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Professional Development: Additional certifications or coursework in membership management, social media management, or administrative support would be beneficial.

Professional Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years in a membership management or administrative role, preferably within a non-profit or membership-based organization.
  • Data Management: Experience in managing membership databases and handling data entry with accuracy.
  • Social Media: Experience in managing social media platforms for organizational promotion and member engagement.
  • Customer Service: Background in customer service or member relations, effectively addressing and resolving issues.
