Purpose

This position will be responsible for the department's business performance review, reporting, and the automation of reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Responsibilities

Data Visualization and Automation:

  • Provide support to various teams in the design and implementation of data visualisation dashboards used throughout the department.
  • Leverage automation tools to streamline data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes, ensuring timely and error-free data delivery.


Automation of Reporting and Operations Processes:

  • Identify opportunities to automate routine data reporting processes and operations processes to reduce manual work, enhance data accuracy, and improve report delivery timelines and operations efficiency.


Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Accurately analyse and collect data for various types of business reports and communicate the results that provide insights on key data points to supervisors/management to make data-driven decisions, in both written and verbal form.


Executive Dashboard Management:

  • Maintain the Executive Dashboard for the department’s centralised reporting of key performance business statistics. Automate the update processes as necessary to ensure data accuracy and timely identification of movements in financial and business trends.


Ad-hoc Tasks and Projects:

  • Support various ad-hoc tasks, projects, and reports with a focus on streamlining processes through automation, where applicable.


Qualifications

  • Appropriate qualification in Accountancy, Statistics, Business Analytics, Computer Science or equivalent
  • 1 to 3 years of experiences as a financial or business analyst
  • Experiences in automation tools (eg Data3Sixty, IBM Cognos Analytics, Laiye) or other data analysis programs
  • Strong analytical skills that enable the development of automated, data-driven reports
  • Experiences with Python or other programming languages to develop scripts for automation will be an added advantage
  • Knowledge of SQL and advanced Microsoft Excel to support data analysis and reporting automation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively present insights and automated solutions to stakeholders
  • Attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of automated processes and business reports
  • Business acumen to understand operational objectives and develop automated solutions that meet strategic goals
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritise projects in a demanding workload
  • Ability to confidently engage with various stakeholders to propose and implement automated solutions
