Key Responsibility Areas:

  • Drive, lead and evaluate category management and product assortments with established Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Direct effective use of OTB in the respective product categories to maintain and improve sales, inventory, margin and overall turnover objectives.
  • Set the right price positioning and drive product promotion strategies.
  • Deliver on the category performance expectations and guidelines.
  • Manage all fiscal sales, receipt, margin and Open-To-Buy reporting, reviewing merchandising sales and inventory data to strategize assortment planning.
  • Timely ordering, follow ups, pricing, deliveries and overall upkeep of the merchandise in the allocated categories.
  • To flag potential challenges & issues pertaining to Sales, Out of Stock situations, Ageing, Redline and overstock to plan necessary actions in a timely fashion.
  • To constantly monitor the Sales and Margin Performance of the Categories and to take necessary actions to correct / improve where needed.
  • Analyze historical performance and forecast business based on current trend and recommend strategies to ensure plan is achieved.
  • Evaluate and analyze business reports to seize business opportunities, make recommendations to turn inventory quickly and to minimize business risks.
  • Product life cycle management.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum Degree in any discipline of study.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 4-6 years of merchandising experience in a comparable retail environment, preferably in Travel Retail environment.
  • Personal Attributes: Good interpersonal skills, Pleasant Personality, Excellent communicator, Proficient in computer skills
  • Languages: Fluent English and both in written and spoken. Knowledge of other language is added advantage.
  • May require travelling to KLIA & KLIA 2 up to twice per week or as required.
