Web Developer

Job Overview:

We are looking for a proficient Web Developer to join our team. This role requires someone who can develop, maintain, and optimise our website, ensuring top performance and user experience. The ideal candidate will be proficient in using WordPress and Webflow for web development and will collaborate closely with the marketing team to align website functionality with our branding and user experience standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Website Design & Development:

Design, develop, maintain, and optimise a high-performance, responsive, anduser-friendly website using WordPress and Webflow.

Collaborate with the marketing and product teams to ensure website design andfunctionality align with the company’s branding and user experience standards. Create and implement landing pages, microsites, and other web elements tosupport marketing campaigns.

SEO Implementation:

Implement SEO practices to improve the website's search engine ranking andonline visibility.

Optimise site architecture, URL structures, metadata, and on-page elements toalign with SEO best practices.

Conduct occasional SEO audits and assist in resolving technical SEO issuessuch as broken links, crawl errors, and site structure problems.

Performance Optimisation:

Enhance website speed and performance by optimising images, scripts, andserver configurations to improve loading times and responsiveness.

Ensure mobile-friendliness and cross-browser compatibility, providing a seamlessuser experience across all devices and browsers.

Monitor and improve performance metrics using tools such as Google Analytics,Google Search Console, and Microsoft Clarity, implementing data-drivenimprovements.

Collaboration & Communication:

Work closely with the marketing team to align technical development with SEOobjectives and overall marketing goals.

Provide technical support and insights to the marketing team, ensuring that allwebsite updates and content are SEO-friendly.

Stay updated with the latest trends in web development to continuously enhanceour website's functionality and visibility.

Security & Compliance:

Implement best practices for website security, ensuring compliance with relevantdata protection regulations.

Regularly update and maintain web applications to protect against vulnerabilities,ensuring a secure online environment for users.

Requirements:

Educational Background Required: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, WebDevelopment, or a related field.

Experience Level Required: 3-5 years of professional experience in web developmentwith a strong portfolio.

Web Development Expertise Required: Proven experience as a Web Developer, witha deep understanding of website development.

Skills: Mastery of HTML, CSS,JavaScript, and familiarity with server-side languages such as PHP.

Content Management Systems (CMS) Experience Required: Practical experiencewith popular CMS platforms, including building and maintaining websites within thesesystems. WordPress and Webflow are preferred.

Responsive Design Skills Required: Ability to design and develop websites that arefully responsive and function seamlessly across different devices and screen sizes.

Design Aesthetics Required: A good sense of design aesthetics, with the ability tocreate visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.

Project Management & Collaboration Required: Experience in managing webdevelopment projects from concept to completion, with strong organisational skills andthe ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Problem-Solving Abilities Required: A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a keen eye for detail, capable of identifying issues and implementing solutions quickly.

Bonus Skills Optional but Preferred: Knowledge of additional programming languages, experience with API integration, or advanced SEO/SEM certifications would be an added advantage.
