The Position

Internship Summary:

The APAC Established Products Squad (EPS) is a location-agnostic squad composed of members from affiliates throughout the APAC region. The EP Squad is accountable for managing the EP portfolio of products in partnered affiliates.

The Legal & Compliance Partner is a pivotal role within EPS. It is responsible for driving corporate and healthcare compliance excellence and ensuring a consistent and efficient approach to developing enterprise solutions that can be scaled to support other region-wide business models (e.g., DAN).

The outcome of this gig/internship is to determine the applicable business models and how the contractual documents of those models are implemented across the APAC region. This will enable the EP Squad to develop a “heat map” to determine the areas of prioritization and to study the possibility of standardization of contracts with various stakeholders and/or partners in the region. The work will also embed compliance in all aspects of EPS commercial operations, encouraging a culture of integrity and ethical business practices to enable EPS to operate more effectively as an integrated, enterprise-focused squad.

Principle Responsibilities:

As a Legal & Compliance Intern:

  • Support the review and assessment of existing contracts, ensuring adherence to timelines for new and existing business partners
  • Identify and manage compliance, commercial and legal risks and issues and work to build and deliver sound legal (and commercial) proposals that meet EPS’ goals and protect EPS’ risk/liability levels, reputation and financial interests

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive legal and healthcare compliance management framework for EPS catering to various business models across APAC

  • Lead continuous improvement for transformational thinking in EPS compliance and business partner management
  • Partner mindfully with Affiliates and external parties to leverage best practices and co-create risk-mitigation solutions, laying the foundation for future EPS Legal & Compliance processes.

As an EP Squad Member:

  • Together with other EP squad and network members, define short and mid-term EPS outcomes in alignment with EPS vision, long-term outcomes and Roche 2030 vision
  • Proactively contribute to the achievement of defined EPS outcomes and linked success metrics
  • Actively participate and contribute to the squad practice of self-management and self-authored learning to accelerate growth and foster high-performance culture.
  • Proactively share knowledge by adopting defined systems and forums for retention and dissemination
  • Partner mindfully with affiliates & external parties, ensuring efficiency and transparency and never compromising their customer and business accountabilities (reputation, trust, licence to operate, etc)
