The Safety & Security Executive will drive the hotel's asset protection, safety, and shortage awareness and prevention initiatives. In addition, this role should maintain a good relationship with the local administration.

Additionally you are to protect and look after the guests, team members, properties of the company and contractors, visitors and to instil the awareness among the workforces and maintain hotel’s standard as per OSHA 1994 regulation as to create a safer work place with less injuries / accidents involving guest/team member where higher standard of work and service can be achieved for the benefit of the organization as well as the guest.

What will I be doing?

As the Safety & Security Executive, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • Enforce OSHA rules relating to occupational safety and health to prevent occupational injury or illness to guests, employees, contractors and visitors
  • Inspect the place of work to determine whether any machinery, equipment, substance, appliance, process or any description of manual labour used in the place of work is of such nature liable to cause bodily injury to any person
  • Overall Risk Management process and program implementation
  • Carry out HIRARC; which involves analyzing risks as well as identifying, describing and estimating the risks affecting safety & health and business
  • Implementing safety & health (OSHA 1994) measures
  • Investigate any incident, accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational disease which occur in the workplace
  • Collect, analyze and maintain statistics on any accident/incident and prepare reports
  • Ensure all Fire Fighting Equipment & System and Security system are well maintained and functioning
  • Liaise and submit reports to DOSH on any reported accidents
  • Serves as Secretary of OSHA Committee
  • Ensure the hotel is in congruence with BOMBA regulation for annual Fire


Certificate renewal

  • To assist in organization’s internal and external audits (e.g: APAC Safety & Security Audit, QA Audit, HR Audit, DOSH Audit, BOMBA Inspection etc)
  • To assist in conducting major and internal Fire Drill
  • Serves as CMT during crisis and emergency
  • Trainer for Safety & Security related training programs
  • Monitoring and managing the Security team in its daily routine or tasks
  • Head and lead the Security Department in the absence of Chief of Safety & Security and Assistant Chief of Safety & Security
  • Perform any reasonable task as requested by immediate superiors, General


Manager, Director of Operation or other Head of Departments

What are we looking for?

An Safety & Security Executive serving Hilton Brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • College graduate or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of experience in security and fire control fields.
  • More than 5 years of working experience in management.
  • Certified Fire Safety Administrator and Chief Security issued by National Vocational Qualification Certification.
  • Proficient with safety measures in accordance with national law and regulations as well as local rules and regulations of the city.
  • Knowledgeable of hotel security management and etiquette.
  • Able to deal with emergency cases and incidents.
  • Able to maintain good relationships with public security organizations as well as all departments in the hotel.
  • Proficient in verbal and written communications.
  • Able to prepare business documents.
  • Capable of training team members.
  • Literacy in English to meet business needs, preferred.
  • Must possess Yellow Book or Certified Safety Certificate in related area.
  • Minimum requirement must be at 4 years’ experience in hotel safety environment.
  • A good team player with strong drive and ability to deal effectively with other departments.
  • Self motivated and able to meet required standards.
  • Fluent in written, spoken English and computer literate.
  • Self starter and able to cope with work pressure.
