Providing and serving guests in a professional manner to ensure great satisfaction in wine service and set up according to Hilton Wine Experience standards, co-ordinates and accomplishing tasks and assignments as assigned by Food & Beverage Director. To create and maintain an exemplary working attitudes. To work closely with Food & Beverage Director to execute all wine related duties.

To guide and supervise the work of wines agent in order to improve and maintain the standards of Hilton Wine Experience. Ensure the correct sequence of wine service is expertly executed exceeding the expectation. Assist Food & Beverage Director in training and other wine related duties.

What will I be doing?

Ø To lead wine agents by exemplary working attitude and good organizing skills.

Ø Should posses good working attitude e.g. punctuality, neat appearance, respect and ability to take orders from supervisor.

Ø To develop and maintain training, supervise and discipline all wine agents.

Ø Create and maintaining a highly professional relationship with guest in area of wines.

Ø Possess a management ability that ensures a successful handling of the outlets wine matters.

Ø To follow service standard of the outlet you are attached to, above the wine service standard. E.g. usage of tray, standard verbiage and service sequence.

Ø Good up sell and recommending skills.

Ø Ensure the correct and consistent wine service techniques for various meal period and outlet according to respective outlets.

Ø Anticipate, in advance, all stock and supplies and assure their availability.

Ø Responsible for Studio outlets daily house pour inventory performed by the wine agents.

Ø To responsible for all wine accessories and equipment’s maintenance.

Ø Observe daily conditions of cellar and wines in the outlets; makes recommendations for corrections and improvements as needed.

Ø Assist Food & Beverage Director in preparing manning schedules, which allow for appropriate service while controlling labor cost and overtime

Ø Understand all food and beverage items offered, including ingredients, methods of preparation in all outlets in Studio

Ø In-depth knowledge of beverages liquor, cocktail and spirits..

Ø Attend and participate in all required meetings.

Ø Promote teamwork and foster a harmonious working climate.

Ø Promote good public relations and handle complaints or concerns of guests.

Ø Handle all inventories directly involved with the wine programme.

Ø Well versed in computer programs and know-how of POS system.

Ø Ability to handle operation problems, guest complains and feedbacks.

Ø Respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation.

Ø Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and team members.

Ø Control standards, performance, employees' conduct, dress code, appearance, sanitation, etc., according to established policies.

What are we looking for?

Candidate to have a excellent wine and communication skills. Minimum of 5 years of experience in service industry, with good exposure to an established wine programme. Able to work independently with a minimal supervision.

  • 2-4 years in a managerial position in a 4 / 5-star category hotel.
  • Good English skills, both written and verbal to meet business needs.
  • Familiar with computer systems.
  • Motivated and committed, approaching all tasks with enthusiasm and seize opportunities to learn new skills or knowledge in order to improve personal performance.
  • Flexible and responds quickly and positively to changing requirements including the performance of any tasks requested of you.
  • Maintain high team focus by showing cooperation and support to colleagues in the pursuit of team goals.
  • Strong leadership, people management and training skills.
  • Guest oriented and able to confidently build and exceed service standards.
  • Thorough knowledge of service, cost control in F&B, labour controls, beverage menu writing, maintenance, merchandising, computer and accountings.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to details.
  • Key strengths (under the 9 competencies) in people management communication and planning.
  • Show commitment and ability to develop as an Outlet Manager in your next role.
  • Outgoing personality and willing to work for long hours.
