Our client, a reputable Workspace Planner & Construction as well as Office Furniture Manufacturer established in 1995 that has worked towards creating the most effective and functional workspaces for their clients. They have been growing rapidly over the years due to the high market demand and they are currently seeking a passionate Purchasing Assistant to join their big family. As part of the company, you will work with their purchasing department to provide assistance to the purchaser in purchasing of materials necessary for company's construction projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential suppliers and conduct comprehensive evaluations based on criteria such as price, quality, delivery speed, and reliability
  • Maintain a database of approved suppliers
  • Monitor and analyze purchasing trends to identify opportunities for cost savings
  • Oversea ordering process, ensuring accurate and timely procurement of goods and services
  • Arrangement of import shipment and SST procedures
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to foster long-term partnerships
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to procurement activities
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier contracts, including supply chain disruptions
  • Stay informed about market trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices. Evaluate supplier performance against predefined KPIs and take corrective action as needed

Additional Information/ Requirement:

  • Candidate must possess at least SPM/"O" Level/UEC/ Diploma/ Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent
  • Preferably candidate with at least 1 year of relevant experience
  • The ideal candidate will have to possess Import & Export shipments experience
