Quality Technician

Main Responsibilities :

• Responsible to perform analysis and sampling on Raw materials, In-Process Quality Control (IPQC) and Finished Products samples to ensure accurate testing and timely release to meet consumer demands.

• Conduct environmental monitoring test such as swabbing/air sampling.

• Perform verification test for laboratory equipment.

• Retention/ Reference sample management.

• Place “Out of specification” material and/or product on quality hold. Communicate quality holds with supervisors.

• Perform routine inspection on processing area to ensure compliance to GMP, Sanitation, process control.

• Perform inspection on facility area in event of non-conformance.

• Ensures compliance to all laboratory procedures and work instructions.

• Assist in monitoring laboratory activities to be in compliance with GLP.

• Responsible to manage documentation and filing of COA and other laboratory documents.

• Compliance with environmental, health and safety policy and other standard established.

• Any other duties as required and assigned by the Management.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing and or laboratory environment (food production manufacturing will be an advantage).

• SPM/ Certificate/ Diploma (Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or other related fields)

• Good technical knowledge in on processing, laboratory method and food science.

• Computer literate (Microsoft application such as words, excel, power point & etc.).

• Able to read and write in Malay and English.

• Must be precise, accurate and well organized and have strong attention to detail.

• Able to work in shift rotation.

• Able to work beyond normal working hours (overtime) when needed.
