We are seeking an exceptional Lead Engineering Manager to join our dynamic team. As a Lead Engineering Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving innovation, managing teams, and delivering high-quality solutions. The Day-to-Day Activities

• Lead a team of engineers across different tech stacks (mobile, web, and backend) to deliver highly scalable and available services and immersive experiences for our users
• Partner with cross-functional leaders across product, design, analytics, and data science to build and execute the product roadmap, set customer focussed metrics, and robust experiment designs
• Lead the quarterly planning and build a smooth execution plan with the team for securing the delivery of product and engineering roadmap, you are the ultimate owner of the successful delivery and rollout of your roadmap.
• Drive team-wide engineering initiatives by collaborating effectively with senior leaders in the org by employing your mastery of technologies, communicating your ideas effectively, and driving alignment with key stakeholders to create successful outcomes.
• Set the engineering excellence metrics and targets for the team, consistently raise the bar across testability, availability, security, and code quality for your systems and modules
• Attract and retain talent engineering talent, actively mentor and develop engineering talent in the team and across Grab
• Oversee the planning and execution of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate engineering solutions with business development and operational needs.
  
  

The Must-Haves

• A degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology or have a similar experience with 8+ years engineering experience on mobile or backend technologies and at least 2+ years of management experience of mid-size teams of up to 10 engineers
• Significant experience as a successful software development leader in large-scale, highly available Internet and mobile applications. Experience working for a start-up or scale-up is preferred.
• Experience leading high-impact product teams of engineers and driving large-scale projects in collaboration with product, design, and commercial teams, to succeed.
• Possess strong communication skills and can communicate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences effectively
• A cultural role model with a strong sense of humility and empathy coupled a bias for action and a passionate commitment to engineering excellence
• Vast experience in web development of open source and off-the-shelf low code platforms.
• Proficiency in web technologies (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js) is essential.
• Proven track record of leading teams for software development.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor others.
• Experience in dealing with vendors for joint development.
• Effective collaboration to achieve project goals.
• Running teams with a Scrum setup.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management.
• Stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  

Nice To Have

• Experience in .Net, React, Azure, AWS, and Golang.
• Familiarity with these technologies is a plus.
