Responsibilities
• Develop robust software applications
• Support and maintain existing regional software solutions
• Assume technical responsibility for all stages of the software development process to ensure compliance with application development standards and achievement of documented requirements.
• Maintain, develop and enhance business support and process tools / projects as required
• Assist with analyzing requirements for new products, including liaising directly with end users and product management
• Promote and drive a passionate customer driven culture by ensuring a strong focus on delivery, execution and the customer
• Ensure that you maintain proficiency in a wide range of technology products/ platforms
Qualifications
Technical Requirements (Must Have):
• At least 6+ years of experience in software development using Microsoft ASP.NET, C# and SQL Server (or another relational database)
• Proven experience with front-end development frameworks (preferably AngularJS), JavaScript (or Typescript), HTML, CSS, WCF & WebAPIs
• Worked in an agile development environment.
• Strong attention to detail and has demonstrated the ability to solve complex problems skills and the ability to come up and communicate quick and creative solutions.
Technical Requirements (Good to Have):
• Experience in AWS services would be an advantage
• Knowledge in the location services, GIS, or geospatial industries would be an advantage Soft Skills Requirements:
• An agile mind set and knowledge of the agile processes (Scrum)
• Proficient in written and spoken English
• Strong communication skills are required to communicate with the team members, stakeholders, and end users
• Ready to question and has a natural habit of sharing knowledge
• A commitment to collaborative problem solving and product quality is essential
• Be accustomed and comfortable working within a team-based, experimental agile environment that is centric to development
• Ready for long term commitment
• Able and prepared to working hours maximizing the "communication window" as there will be some time zone difference
Education
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent.
