Assistant Finance Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Work closely with Finance Manager to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Prepare audited financial statements and management reports in accordance with Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (“MFRS”) and the requirements of the Companies Act 2016 in Malaysia.
• Manage and implement good internal control and standard operating procedures to safeguard the Company’s assets.
• Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective risk management strategies.
• Perform variance analysis and provide commentary on financial performance.
• Assist in preparation of budget, cashflow forecasts and projections.
• Assist in coordination of internal and external audit.
• Address audit queries and ensure timely resolution of audit issues.
• Prepare and review current and deferred tax provision.
• Prepare and review tax computation to ensure accurate and timely filing of tax return.
• Collaborate with tax consultants to prepare and review Transfer Pricing Documentation; and optimise tax planning strategies.
• Lead and develop a high-performing Finance Team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals.
• Support ad-hoc projects including new acquisition and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (“ERP”) system.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Possess recognized degree or professional qualification in Accountancy and a member of MIA.
• At least five (5) years of relevant working experience (exposures in listed Company or big four accounting firms will be an advantage).
• Competent in accounting/tax technicalities and abreast with current accounting standards and tax requirements.
• Analytical and meticulous for details, possess high integrity and able to work independently to meet tight timelines.
• A committed team player with good personality, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to accept or provide feedback and strive for improvement.
• Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
• Applicants must be willing to work in Butterworth- Penang
• Must be a Malaysian citizen.
